Guest Post - Meet Steve Shaff a Fellow Computer IT I Met at a Network Meeting

Guest post I met Steve at a BNI meeting on Zoom. BNI stands for Business Networking International. I knew Steve and I were a good fit after speaking with him at the meeting. Steve is very proactive with his computer clients and stops most problems before they're even noticeable to his remote support computer clients.

He runs a service called MSP. That stands for Managed Service Provider. In other words, he takes the computer worries away from you so you can focus on what you do best—managing your business and taking care of your customers. Steve is located in Portland Oregon, but thanks to technology he helps maintain computers all over the United States.

Hello Everyone!

Today I am introducing myself and my business to those of you who would like to know a bit more about the person behind I Do Information Technology Services.

Computers were a hobby of mine when I was growing up in the 1980s, but then became a career in 1996. In 2000, after finishing my Bachelor’s degree, I worked for a small startup in their I.T. department. From there, I went to work for several Fortune 500 companies such as Nike, Comcast, and Fiserv, to name a few - increasing my technological skills, getting certifications, an MBA, and driving a management career path.

However, it wasn’t until I started working for a small local medical business office as their I.T. guy that I found that sense of purpose of helping people, instead of just being a number in a multinational company. From there, I put my 26 years of experience to work for myself and created my company ‘I Do I.T.’

This fortified my abilities with my want to help people.
