Linux Mint is more secure and faster than Windows. The operating system itself is FREE. It does however take a little skill to install it. So far I switched at least four of my in home computer clients here in Honolulu Hawaii and even Ewa Beach from Windows 10 with all of its bloated turtle speed software and bad updates to Linux Mint.

From my personal experience with a dual boot of Linux Mint and Windows

I can tell you I spend about 10% of my time in Windows 10 and it takes me almost a third longer to get anything done as compared to Linux Mint.
